With the heroine for Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming film yet to be officially announced, speculations abound over who it could be. Previously, it was reported that Trisha, Deepika Padukone, or Anjali, who was a part of the director’s Iraivi, were frontrunners. A source now states that Simran has been signed to star opposite Rajini in the film. If true, this will be her first collaboration with Superstar. It is notable that Simran has worked with almost all the big stars of Tamil cinema, including Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith, Suriya, and Vikram. The untitled project, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi, is produced by Sun Pictures. While Tirru is on board as the cinematographer, Anirudh will compose the music for this film.
