Ram and Sattaru’s film shelved due to budget issues

CE Features

Actor Ram’s action-adventure with acclaimed director Praveen Sattaru has been shelved due to budget issues.

“It’s a first-of-its-kind story set in the backdrop of the India-China border. The film requires an estimated budget of Rs 43 crore to make it look realistic. Keeping Ram’s market in mind, producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is sceptical about the commercial viability and considers the project a risky proportion. Although Ram is enthusiastic to work in this film, Ravi Kishore is unwilling to invest anything more than Rs 30 crore and as a result, the project has been put on the back burner,” reveals a source.

Meanwhile, Praveen, who believes in his script, is on the lookout for a suitable actor and a producer willing to back the film.
