Actor Vijay Deverakonda is all set to start shooting for his new film Dear Comrade in mid-June. The film presents him as a student leader from the beach town of Kakinada and the actor is currently mastering the Godavari dialect.

“It’s an intense action love story set in the backdrop of a coastal Andhra city. Besides Hyderabad and Kakinada, the film will be shot in Ladakh and Ooty. We are planning to wrap up the shoot in four months and release the film during Dussera,” says a source from the production unit.

Produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers and Big Ben Cinemas, the film features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. “Rashmika will be seen as a famed cricketer in the film, and currently, she is undergoing training sessions to get her act right,” the source adds.

Music of the film is by Justin Prabhakaran.
