The team of Solo: A Star Wars Story attended the screening of their film at Cannes Film Festival yesterday. For the very first time, the seven-foot-tall, Joonas Suotamo, who plays the iconic character Chewbacca in the film walked the red carpet wearing his Chewbacca outfit, accompanied by stormtroopers.

The film was well-received at the screening, and director Ron Howard and star Alden Ehrenreich received a standing ovation for their work. The film's cast includes Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, and Thandie Newton, who will be playing the roles of Han Solo, Qi'ra, Tobias Beckett and Val Beckett, respectively.

Solo, the stand-alone Star Wars film, traces the story of Han Solo, who meets his future co-pilot and friend Chewbacca, before the events in the original 1977 Star Wars. The Lucas Films' production venture will hit Indian screens on May 25.
