Mahanati, the much awaited biopic on late actor Savitri, was released today. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film has Keerthy Suresh playing the legendary actor. 

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli watched the film and shared his views on Twitter. He wrote,

Conveying his wishes to the filmmaker and producer, the Baahubali director added, 

Mahanati traces the life of Savitri from her rise to stardom, to how her career shaped up and how she lost everything in the end. 

The film also stars Samantha, Vijay Deverakonda, Shalini Pandey, and Prakash Raj in important roles.
