Sylvestor Stallone's iconic character Rambo will soon be back on the big screen. The actor revealed the poster of Rambo 5 at the Cannes Film Festival, which announced its release in Fall 2019.

The Vietnam-war veteran was last seen on screen in 2008's Rambo. The film earned 113 million on a budget of 50 million, making it the lowest earning film in the franchise. While there were rumours of a TV series, directed by and starring Stallone, based on Rambo's son, back in 2015, these plans were ultimately shelved leading to the actor hinting that he was going to retire the character. But the latest poster reveal, titled by Stallone on his Instagram post as, "Something wicked is coming your way," suggests otherwise.

It appears that the plot of Rambo 5 will follow Rambo trying to rescue the daughter of a friend while going up against one of Mexico's most violent cartels. While Stallone is currently busy with Creed 2, playing his other iconic character, Rocky Balboa, it remains to be seen if he will assume the directorial responsibilities of Rambo 5
