Prithviraj's directorial debut Lucifer will start rolling in July. Mohanlal, who plays the main lead, tweeted the film's title font earlier today.

With a script written by Murali Gopy, the film is expected to be dark psychological thriller. Gopy recently said in an interview that the film will be a mass entertainer.

Lucifer is one of the most anticipated films of this year considering the fact that Prithviraj will be donning the director's cap for the first time, and this will also mark his first collaboration with Mohanlal. Prithviraj will start work on the film as soon as he is done filming his maiden production venture directed by Jenuse Mohamed. There are reports that Manju Warrier will have an important role in the film.

The project is produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Ace composer Deepak Dev, who is known for delivering several musical hits in the past, will be composing the background score. Cinematographer Sujith Vassudev, who has worked on films like Drishyam and Ezra, will be the director of photography.
