Actor Gopichand and director Chandrasekhar Yeleti, who earlier worked together on critically-acclaimed films like Okkadunnadu and Sahasam, are set to team up for the third time for a new film. According to a source, the film was supposed to have actor Sai Dharam Tej in the lead, but things never worked out owing to the Jawaan actor’s other commitments and Yeleti has now approached Gopi for the film.

“Yeleti met Gopi and pitched the storyline recently. Impressed with the concept, the actor has asked the director to arrive with a bound script and the scripting process has begun,” says a source.

If everything materialises, the film is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2018.

Meanwhile, Gopichand’s upcoming film Pantham is nearing completion, and the team is currently filming the climax portions at Ramoji Film City. Directed by debutant K Chakravarthy, Pantham will be released on July 5.
