It is very likely that veteran director Ridley Scott will direct the film adaptation of Greg Rucka's comic series Queen & Country, which was published from 2001-2007. Back in 2013, actor Ellen Page was said to be playing the lead role in the film under Craig Viveiros' direction, but nothing materialised after that. 

Writers like Ryan J Condal and Olivia Milch had previously written scripts for the film version. If Scott signs the project, persumably a new writer will be roped in to write a fresh screenplay.

The graphic novel was based on a British Secret Intelligence Service operative named Tara Chace, who is drawn into a dangerous encounter with an international terrorist, following an attack in London. The series ran for 32 issues and grabbed an Eisner Award for the best new series in 2002.

The filmmaker, who made two film--Alien: Covenant and All the Money in the World--last year, is also expected to produce the film alongside Chernin Entertainment.
