One of last year's biggest Tamil hits Vikram Vedha is now officially going to be remade in Hindi. Director duo Pushkar-Gayatri, who came out of a hiatus of seven years to direct the Madhavan-Vijay Sethupathi starrer, will be directing the Hindi version too. The Tamil film's producer Y Not Sashikanth will be collaborating with Reliance Entertainment for the remake. Writer-filmmaker Neeraj Pandey will join the project as writer and creative producer.

An official statement from Y Not said, "After our two successful co-productions in Hindi, Saala Khadoos and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan with Rajkumar Hirani and Anand L Rai, respectively, we at YNot Studios are super excited to join hands with Anil D Ambani led Reliance Entertainment and its partners Plan C studios spearheaded by the dynamic Neeraj Pandey for our third production, to be directed by Pushkar and Gayatri." 

The cast and crew of the film is yet to be announced. Interestingly, it was speculated that Shah Rukh Khan was interested in the remake, but decided to drop the plan as it would be similar to his film Fan where the audience ended up sympathising with the villain.
