Vikram Kumar, director of 24, rubbishes Akshay Kumar rumours

The director clarified that he is not in talks with the actor for a film

Earlier today rumours were rampant on social media that director Vikram Kumar and Akshay Kumar would be joining hands for a film.

Vikram Kumar, whose last release was the Telugu film Hello featuring Akhil Akkineni and debutante Kalyani Priyadarshan, daughter of filmmaker Priyardarshan, has previously made only one film in Hindi - 13B. The horror film, made as a Tamil-Hindi bilingual featured Madhavan in the lead and was instrumental in kickstarting the horror film culture in Tamil cinema.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, who is awaiting the release of his magnum opus 2.0 opposite Superstar Rajinikanth, is in talks to play one of the leads in a film on the RSS.

We reached out to the director who immediately dismissed the rumours and said that he is not in talks with the actor to make a film.
