Samantha to quit acting?

Express Features

According to reports, Samantha will be walking away from acting after her film with her husband and actor Naga Chaitanya gets over.

One of the most-sought-after heroines of South Indian cinema, the 30-year-old actor, who currently awaits the release of Rangasthalam, Irumbu Thirai and Super Deluxe, is apparently not keen to sign new projects and has recently turned down two films. Although there is no particular reason for her decision, and marriage definitely is not a roadblock, it is learnt that she wants to focus on her NGO Pratyusha Foundation and allocate some quality time for her personal life and has taken the final decision.

“After donning diverse roles, and despite being busy working on several big-budget projects like Mahanati and Telugu-Tamil remake U-Turn, Sam feels like it is time to stop acting and has made up her mind to call it a day. Her film with Chaitanya to be directed by Shiva Nirvana will be her last as an actor,” says a source.

If this report turns out to be true, Samantha’s first and last film in Telugu will feature Naga Chaitanya as her hero.
