Actors Nagarjuna and Nani’s untitled film is all set to begin its principal shooting on March 18 coinciding with Ugadi.

The film, touted to be an action-comedy, is being directed by Sriram Adittya and will have Nagarjuna playing a mafia don, while Nani appears in the role of a doctor. “The film shows the bond between a don, who likes to keep the conversations simple, and a doctor, who always wears a serious face. The sequences between them will tickle your funny bone,” says a source.

Produced by Aswini Dutt, the film’s female leads are yet to be finalised. Speculations abound that Rashmika Mandanna of Chalo fame has been approached to play Nani's love interest in the film. The search for an actor to play Nagarjuna's pair is still on.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna is currently shooting for Ram Gopal Varma’s Officer in Mumbai, while Nani awaits the release of his upcoming romcom Krishnarjuna Yuddham on April 12.
