Telugu actor Lakshmi Manchu is set to play Neha Dhupia's role in the Tamil remake of Tumhari Sulu, which featured Vidya Balan in the lead role. Earlier this week it was announced that Jyothika will play the protagonist in the remake directed by Radha Mohan.

The film will mark Laksmi Manchu's return to Tamil cinema after Mani Ratnam's Kadal in 2013. The actor will be playing the role of a radio station head and it is said that she will sport a very stylish look in the film. The shooting of her portions will commence from May.

The yet-to-be-titled film, produced by Dhananjayan, under his banner BOFTA Media Work, will feature Jyotika playing the role of a night RJ. This will be her second collaboration with Radha Mohan after Mozhi in 2007.
