Following the massive success of the recent adaptation of Stephen King's It, which became the highest grossing horror film of all time, 20th Century Fox has roped in A Quiet Place's screenwriters Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, to write the script for a horror film based on the veteran writer's short story, The Boogeyman. 

The film, co-produced by Stranger Things' production house 21 Laps Entertainment, will trace the story of a man describing the murders of his three young children--who died after crying "Boogeyman"--to a psychiatrist. Though the story has been remade as a short film several times, this will be its first feature film adaptation. This marks the sixth collaboration of the writer duo.

Incidentally, Paramount is developing a sequel to A Quiet Place, which grossed $330 million worldwide on a $17 million budget.
