A box-office clash between Sai Dharam Tej and debutant Kalyaan Dhev has been averted after producer Sai Korrapati decided to push the release of Vijetha by a week. The film, which was initially slated for release on July 6, will now hit the marquee on July 12.

Megastar Chiranjeevi, who attended the audio launch of Vijetha on Sunday has made this announcement. “I was stressed and thought a possible clash is inevitable at the ticket window as our family’s hero Sai Dharam Tej’s film (Tej…I Love You) is also releasing on the same day as Vijetha. But, Sai garu has come to a decision to shift the release of Vijetha to a later date. Now that both the films have opted for different release dates, we are a happier lot,” said Chiranjeevi.

Directed by Rakesh Shashi, Vijetha, also starring Malavika Nair as the female lead, explores a father-son relationship.
