As reported earlier, Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu has been signed on to play a pivotal role in Suriya’s upcoming revenge drama, NGK. The 56-year-old actor, whose last Tamil film was Vijay's Bairavaa, will play one of the antagonists in the film directed by Selvaraghavan.

"Jagapathi Babu will be sporting a new look for the powerful role. He has signed on the dotted line and has given his call sheet for 10 days. He will join the sets in a new schedule in late July or early August in Chennai," says a source.

The film marks the actor's first collaboration with Suriya. Also starring Rakul Preet Singh and Sai Pallavi, the film's shooting is currently underway in a Rs 3 crore village set in Chennai. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, NGK is about a young revolutionary leader who wants to bring about a change in society by fighting against corruption.
