Megha Akash dubs for Boomerang

CE Features

The shooting of Atharvaa's upcoming film Boomerang was wrapped up a few weeks ago and the post-production works are happening in full swing. The latest update is that the film's female lead, Megha Akash has lent her own voice for the character.

Megha, who signed Oru Pakka Kadhai as her first film, was later roped in for Dhanush's Enai Nokki Paayum Thota. But the first film of hers to hit the theatre was the Telugu film, LIE, alongside Nithiin in 2017. Going by the progress of Boomerang, it will most likely be her Tamil debut.

According to a source, the film's director R Kannan insisted that Megha dub for her role in order to maintain authenticity. It may be remembered that Bhavana dubbed in Tamil for the first time in Kannan's directorial debut, Jeyam Kondan.

Atharvaa is said to be sporting three different looks in Boomerang, involving heavy prosthetic makeup. The film, also starring Meyaadha Maan-fame Indhuja and Upen Patel of I Fame, has been primarily shot in and around Chennai, Aruppukottai, Virudhunagar, and Theni. The entire shoot was completed in 45 days, and the makers are aiming for an August release.
