CE Features

Famous Bollywood singer and composer Kailash Kher has sung for Shankar and Rajinikanth’s mega-budget science fiction film 2.0, a sequel to 2010’s Enthiran (Robot). The AR Rahman musical, whose shooting kickstarted in December 2015, has been in the making for a long time now.

Two songs from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions of the film were launched on 27 October 2017 at Burj Al Arab, Dubai in a grand manner. It was announced that a third song, Pullinangal, will be released later. Now it has come to light that Kailash Kher, who recently sang Aalaporan Thamizhan in Vijay’s Mersal, has sung the Hindi version of Pullinangal. The singer-composer shared a picture of himself with AR Rahman on Instagram and broke the news. The song based on birds is written by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Reportedly shot at a budget of `450 crore, 2.0 is considered to be the costliest film in Asia. Unlike Enthiran, the second instalment will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D format. Also starring Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar, 2.0’s release has been postponed several times due to delays in the CG work.
