Last seen in Kadaisi Bench Karthi, Bharath has signed his next with actor-turned-filmmaker, Sharran Kumar, who is known for starring in films like Inidhu Inidhu and Uyirukku Uyiraaga. Speaking about his plunge into filmmaking Sharran says, "I actually wanted to become a director, not an actor. Though I haven't assisted anyone, I've acted in five films, which helped me to observe and learn about the various departments of filmmaking." 

About the upcoming film, he says, "It is a dark crime thriller. Bharath plays a sincere and focused businessman who tries to rescue his family when they get trapped in a situation. Apart from Bharath, the film has Chennai 2 Singapore-fame Gokul Anand and Aruvi-fame Bala in important roles. We've planned to start shooting for the film from mid-July in Kodaikanal. Yuva, who has worked on films like Jackson Durai and Burma, will be handling the camera."
