Madhumita's next, KD 

The director reveals that her film is about an eighty-year-old man who runs away from his home because his family tries to kill him

Filmmaker Madhumita, whose last directorial venture was Moone Moonu Vaarthai (2015) starring SP Balasubramaniam in the lead, is working on her next, KD (a) Karuppudurai.  

She tells CE, "For the past couple of years, I have been occupied with Bigg Boss Tamil as a creative director. As for KD, it's a rural story set in Virudhunagar; 90 percent of the shoot is over."

Prod her more, and she reveals that her film is about an eighty-year-old man who runs away from his home because his family tries to kill him. "He meets a 10-year-old who teaches him how to live. The film is about the bond between the two and how they go on to live life to the fullest," she smiles.

Produced by Saregama, Mu Ramaswamy of Joker fame is playing the octogenarian in the film. As for the child artiste, Madhumita held auditions and found one in Madurai.
