Asif Ali-Jis Joy film to start rolling in July

Mamta Mohandas, who has been finalised for the female lead, will begin work on the film as soon as she is done with Prithviraj's Nine

Sunday Holiday-fame Jis Joy's next film Vijay Superum Pournamiyum will star Asif Ali in the lead. The shooting will commence in the first week of July. This will be Asif's next project after Mandhaaram and Iblis. Interestingly, Asif starred in Joy's debut Bicycle Thieves.

Mamta Mohandas has been finalised for the female lead. She will begin work on the film as soon as she is done with Prithviraj's Nine. According to Joy, Vijay Superum Pournamiyum is a romantic comedy. "This will be a small, message-driven film with elements suitable for a family audience. We are planning to shoot in Pondicherry, Bengaluru, and Kochi," he says.

Renji Panicker, Siddique, Shanti Krishna, KPAC Lalitha, Balu Varghese and others will appear in supporting roles. Newcomer Ranadev will be handling cinematography, and music will be by Prince George.
