Quentin Tarantino surprised everyone when he made the announcement that he would be making a film titled Once Upon a Time in Hollywood featuring Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie in the lead. The latest buzz is that veteran actor Al Pacino will be playing Marvin Shwarz, agent to Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in the film.

The film marks the actor's first collaboration with Tarantino. From the time of his debut with Reservoir Dogs, the filmmaker has been working with top stars of the industry like Robert Forster in Jackie Brown and David Carradine in the Kill Bill films. Pacino fits that mould of actors who rose to fame in the 1970s.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, and traces the lives of the two lead characters--Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth (Pitt)--as they struggle to make a livelihood in Hollywood after losing their recognition.

Quentin Tarantino is writing, directing, and producing the film, which will hit the screens on August 9, 2019.
