Omar Lulu has cast Babu Antony as the hero in his next project, Power Star. The director recently told us that Power Star will be an action-packed mass entertainer and that he was looking for someone who can handle an action-heavy role. The news of Babu's casting is definitely a welcome one considering the fact that he was regarded as one of Malayalam cinema's biggest action superstars during the nineties. Omar had also told us that Babu's role will be that of a powerful don. 

Announcing the casting on his Facebook page, the director wrote: "I used to be a huge admirer of Babu Antony's action films in my younger days. And now after becoming a director, my wish to do a mass action film with him is coming true. This will be a film with thrilling action sequences."

CH Muhammad, who produced Mammootty's Masterpiece, is bankrolling this project. Omar thanked him for agreeing to produce it without even taking into account its satellite value. The film will start rolling in 2019, after Omar's Oru Adaar Love releases in September.
