Vishal, who is riding high on the success of his latest release Irumbu Thirai, will be seen playing the role of Jr NTR in the Tamil remake of the 2015 Telugu film Temper. The actor-producer recently revealed that the remake, directed by debutant Venkat Mohan, will be significantly different from the original. He said, "Our Tamil version of Temper will be an entirely different interpretation of the story."

The film, which was speculated to be titled Ayokya, has Raashi Khanna reprising Kajal Aggarwal's role. Talking about why he chose to do the remake, Vishal added, "I wanted to remake Temper in Tamil as it deals with the theme of child rape. I feel it's very important for actors to use their audiences' support to raise issues through and beyond entertainment."

The film's Hindi remake, Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in the lead, went on floors yesterday at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. The cop drama will be shot in a single schedule which will go on for about two months.
