With Rajinikanth's Kaala releasing today, as is his custom, the actor has left town. But this time he is not off to the Himalayas, but will instead be in Dehradun where his next film with Karthik Subbaraj is going on floors. A source close to the film states that the shooting will also happen in Darjeeling and other locations around Himalayas, with the first schedule lasting a month. Rajini, during his recent promotions for Kaala, was seen sporting a black-dyed appearance, which is expected to be his look in the film.

To be produced by Sun Pictures, which previously bankrolled Rajini's Enthiran, this untitled project has Anirudh and Tirru handling the music and cinematography, respectively. Apart from Superstar, the film reportedly also feature Bobby Simha, Sanath, Simran and Megha Akash.
