Simbu has completed shooting for Mani Ratnam's upcoming multi-starrer, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, (CCV) in Serbia. The actor was also recently spotted in Dubai, alongside Arun Vijay who plays an important role in the film. A source close to Simbu says the shoot finished last Friday, and that the makers will be busy with post-production work for the next couple of months.

Social media was abuzz with pictures of Simbu and Dayana Erappa, who's rumoured to be his co-star. The source adds, "Despite TFPC strikes, we managed to complete the shoot on time. This is Mani sir's quickest project ever."

CCV, an action thriller, will be released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that Arvind Swami, Simbu and Arun Vijay play brothers.

Bankrolled by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, CCV has music by AR Rahman, with Santhosh Sivan on the camera.
