A character poster from Varathan featuring Aishwarya Lekshmi has been revealed. Aishwarya's character is named Priya. The actor is currently on a roll after her striking performance in Aashiq Abu's Mayanadhi.

Directed by Amal Neerad, Varathan, produced by Fahadh and Nazriya's production company, Fahadh Faasil and Friends, will be hitting theatres on August 22. This  is Fahadh's second collaboration with Amal Neerad after Iyobinte Pusthakam. Fahadh's other upcoming releases includes Njan Prakashan, Trance, Kumbalangi Nights and Aanenkilum Allenkilum.

Parava and Koode-fame Little Swayamp is handling the cinematography of Varathan, while Sushin Syam, who wrote the score for Maradona, is the film's music composer.
