After entertaining the audience with his acting chops in films like Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy and Mahanati, Vijay Deverakonda is now the latest addition to the actor-turned-singer brigade. The 29-year-old actor has recorded a song Whatthe..WhattheF for his upcoming film Geetha Govindam, which is in its last leg of production.

Composer Gopi Sundar is confident that the song will make audiences go crazy. “After listening to the reference track, director Parasuram and producer Bunny Vaas liked the tune and suggested that I record it with Vijay. He sang beautifully and has rendered it perfectly. Until now, I’ve made over 18 actors from Malayalam industry sing, and I’m glad to do the same in Telugu as well,” says Gopi Sundar.

The composer is on cloud nine thanks to the response to the film’s first single Inkem Inkem kavali. “As a musician, it feels amazing to see melodies getting such a reception from the audience. I take this opportunity to thank the Telugu audience for accepting me,” he adds.

Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Geetha Govindam’s audio will be unveiled on July 29 and the film is slated for release on August 15.
