Rashmika Mandanna got to shake a leg with Bollywood’s evergreen hero, Anil Kapoor on Tuesday when the actor, who is fondly known to Kannada audience for his role in Pallavi Unpallavi, was in Bengaluru to attend an event. Interestingly, the two put a few steps for the 3 pegu song composed and sung by rapper Chandan Shetty.

Apparently, Rashmika was taken by surprise when Anil said that he would dance for a Kannada song, but only if she joined him on stage. “Anil Kapoor was excited and wanted to do a jig for a Kannada song, and insisted I join him on stage.  Usually, when I am around a star, I start freaking out. When I was on stage with the legend, I said to myself, ‘Oh, I am dead.’ As I walked on to stage, I kept wondering how I would perform in front of him,” she says.

When Anil introduced himself in a two-minute formal conversation, Rashmika responded: “Sir, you don’t have to.”

Rashmika, an established name in the Kannada and Telugu industry, goes on to say, “We are Sonam Kapoor generation, and could not get to watch much of his films. But Anil Kapoor is a living legend,” she says.

Rashmika is currently shooting for Darshan-starrer Yajamana as she awaits the release of her next Telugu film. Meanwhile, a film by Gautham Iyer, in which she dons the role of a cop, is now in the pre-production stage. “The script work is going on, and we will go on floors once everything is in place,” she says.
