Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman will star opposite Amy Adams in the psychological thriller, The Woman in the Window, directed by Joe Wright. The 60-year-old actor will reportedly play the father of a mysterious family who moves across the street from where Adams' character lives. Julianne Moore is also a part of the cast.

An adaptation of the book of the same name by AJ Finn, The Woman in the Window centres on a child psychologist with severe agoraphobia, who hasn’t left her house in months. The woman witnesses a horrible crime involving a new neighbouring family but no one, including the police, believe her, and so she starts doubting herself.

The Fox 2000 drama reunites Oldman with director Joe Wright, after their earlier collaboration on Darkest Hour. It is notable that the actor won the Best Actor Academy award for his critically-acclaimed performance as former UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill in that World War II drama.
