Chiranjeevi's historical period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy was supposed to have music by AR Rahman. But now we hear that Bollywood composer Amit Trivedi will make his Telugu debut with the film instead.

"After AR Rahman opted out of the film owing to his other commitments, producer Ram Charan and director Surender Reddy have found a replacement in Amit. He has already recorded a song and the background music for the teaser which will be unveiled on August 22 coinciding with Chiru's 63rd birthday," says a source from the unit.

As for the progress, the team was supposed to resume the shoot on July 23 in a specially constructed British era set in Kokapet, but they had to cancel it due to rain-related damage. Also featuring Nayanthara, Amitabh Bachchan, Sudeep and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles, the film, slated for release next summer, is being shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. It will also be dubbed in Malayalam.
