After author Stephen King's It was adapted to film last year to much acclaim, his horror novel From a Buick 8 is all set to get a silver screen adaptation from Indian-American film producer Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park Entertainment. 

Published in 2002, the book derives its titled from the 1965 Bob Dylan hit From a Buick 6. The story is set in the rural town of Statler, Pennsylvania, where state police have kept a mysterious 1954 Buick Roadmaster in a shed behind the police barracks for over 20 years. After a well-liked member of the troop is killed by a drunk driver, his son Ned visits the barracks and the cops tell him about the Buick 8, which turns out to have a malevolent spirit. 

Filmmaker William Brent Bell is all set to pen the script as well take up directorial duties, with Addison Mehr and Priya Amritraj on board as executive producers. It is to be noted that adaptations of the writer's other famous novels are already in the works with Pet Sematary and It: Chapter Two both scheduled for a release in 2019.
