Suriya's yet-to-be-titled multi-starrer with KV Anand went on floors on June 25 in London. A month after its launch, one of the major stars of the film, Telugu actor Allu Sirish has announced that he is no longer a part of the project. The actor had to leave the project due to the date clash between Suriya 37 and his other film American Born Confused Desi (Telugu remake of Dulquer Salmaan's 2013 comedy film with the same name). There is no word about the replacement for Allu Sirish's role in Surya 37 yet.

Allu Sirish took to Twitter to break the news to his fans. “Keeping in mind the best interest of both Suriya 37 and ABCD, I volunteered to step down from the role. And the director KV Anand sir has understood the issue and accepted my decision. I was really looking forward to being a part of this film, but will have to let go. Hoping to work with this beautiful team sometime in the future,” he wrote.

Apart from Sirish, it was announced by the makers that various actors across India like Mohanlal, Boman Irani, Sayyeshaa, Samuthirakani, and Arya would be part of the cast. The film has music by Harris Jeyaraj and it marks the third association of Suriya, KV Anand and the composer.
