Jayaraj's latest film Bhayankam has finally found a release date: July 20. The National Award winning film, based on Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai's novel Kayar, features Renji Panicker in the role of a postman living in the time of World War-II. 

Bhayanakam won 3 National Awards -- Best Direction and Best Adapted Screenplay for Jayaraj, and Best Cinematography for Nikhil S Praveen. Sureshkumar Muttath is producing the film under the banner of Prakriti Pictures. This is the first time that Renji Panicker is appearing in a lead role. Asha Sharath plays his wife.
