Ridley Scott to direct 'Merlin Saga' 

Filmmaker Ridley Scott is in negotiations to helm The Merlin Saga. The four-time Oscar-nominated director is in negotiations with Disney studio to helm the film based on TA Barron's novel series.

The script of the film will be provided by Philippa Boyens. 

The Merlin Saga is based on a young Merlin who becomes a mentor to King Arthur. It chronicles the complete story of Merlin's life and times spanning 12 novels.
