Express Features

Ram Charan’s debut film as an actor, Chirutha was a commercial hit. The film’s director Puri Jagannadh played on the strengths of Charan and won laurels from mega fans and audience alike. Ten years later, the director is now trying to rope Charan in for a romantic action film.

A source close to Puri has informed CE that the director is working on a script for the Magadheera actor and it may take a shape later this year. “Puri is always excited to work with Charan and he is now preparing a story draft for him. He had already conceived an outline and will focus on it once he wraps up his present commitments. If everything goes as planned, the film will be bankrolled by a leading producer, and will go on floors next year,” says the source.

Meanwhile, the shoot of Puri’s next release Mehbooba, an Indo-Pak love story has been wrapped up and is rumoured that the film will hit the screens on March 23.
