It's official now. Superstar Rajinikanth will be teaming up with director Karthik Subbaraj for his next yet-to-be-titled film. The film's production house Sun Pictures shared the news today on their official twitter handle.
 

This would be the actor's second collaboration with the production house after Endhiran in 2010. Rajinikanth is currently awaiting the release of his gangster film Kaala, which is scheduled for release on April 27.

The filmmaker tweeted to express his joy about his collaboration with Superstar.

It was earlier announced that Karthik Subbaraj would be teaming up with Dhanush for an action thriller. after his silent thriller Mercury. But this announcement has come as a pleasant surprise for the actor's fans. The lines "mammoth and colossal production" on the announcement poster hint at a truly ambitious project for the Superstar. Details regarding the other cast and crew are expected to be announced soon.
