Rakul Preet, Naga Chaitanya to team up again

Murali Krishna CH

Rakul Preet Singh and Naga Chaitanya, who earlier worked in Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam, will be sharing screen space for the second time. A source says that their next project will take off soon and will mark the directorial debut of Sowjanya, a former protege of Krishna Vamsi.

Billed as a rom-com, the film’s principal shooting will commence in late May or early June. “Rakul was impressed with the storyline pitched by Sowjanya and instantly agreed to be on board. As she is also committed to work in two-three Tamil films, she will be signing the dotted line after finalising her call sheets,” says a source adding, “The film is different from the duo’s previous films. It’s a vibrant, yet colourful love story with tremendous appeal for the youth. It also comes with a good message and a lot of magical moments.”

S Radha Krishna, who is currently bankrolling Chay’s upcoming film tentatively titled Sailaja Reddy Alludu, will be producing this project as well.
