Reports are rife that the teaser of Rajinikanth's Kaala will likely be released on March 10th and an official announcement can be expected from the film's producer Dhanush soon. The film's audio, composed by Santhosh Narayanan, is also expected to be released on the last week of March, exactly a month before the film's planned theatrical release.

Directed by Pa Ranjith of Kabali fame, Kaala had its release date confirmed as April 27 after Rajini's 2.0, directed by Shankar, got postponed due to post-production works. Kaala will see Rajini play the role of a gangster, and the film sports an ensemble cast that includes Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani, Eswari Rao, Huma Qureshi, Sayaji Shinde and Sampath.
