Attacks on my credibility blocked the release of Shahenshah: Amitabh

Three decades after Shahenshah hit the big screens, Amitabh Bachchan says attacks on his credibility had impeded its release back then. The actor shared a tweet on Sunday, commemerating the 30th anniversary of the film.

Directed by Tinnu Anand, Shahenshah tells the story of a man named Vijay, who leads a dual life as a corrupt cop by day and crime buster by night. The story for the film, which also stars Meenakshi Seshadri and Amrish Puri, was written by Amitabh's wife Jaya Bachchan.

Currently, Amitabh Bachchan is busy with three films Thugs Of Hindostan, 102 Not Out and Brahmastra
