Pooja Hegde is on a roll. The DJ actor who recently signed a film opposite Mahesh Babu has been approached to play the female lead opposite Baahubali star Prabhas in his next, say reports.

According to a source, the 27-year-old star, who rose to fame with films like Oka Laila Kosam, Mukunda and Mohenjo Daro, is the front-runner for the film to be directed by Radha Krishna of Jil fame.

“The makers have been holding deliberations with a few actors and have definitely approached Pooja Hegde. Even though she hasn’t signed the film, she has agreed to attend a month-long preparatory workshop to understand the character better. If everything falls into place, she will get on board and is ready to allocate bulk call sheets for the film,” says a source.

Currently, the pre-production formalities are underway and Radha Krishna is busy finalising the script. To be produced by Krishnam Raju under Gopi Krishna Movies, the film, touted to be a love story, is expected to go on floors in April.
