John Abraham's Parmanu postponed to avoid clash with Pari

The release date of John Abraham's Parmanu has been pushed to April 6 to avoid a box office clash. Initially, Anushka Sharma's Pari and Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran were both scheduled for release on March 2. But the makers of John Abraham's film have decided to avert the clash with Pari by postponing their film's release.

A source close to the production says, "Anushka Sharma's horror film Pari is already grabbing a whole lot of attention. The latest promo has sent chills down the nations' spine. Whereas John's promotion for Parmanu has not even started. Rather than rush into release, better sense prevailed."

The source also adds, "After a spate of unsuccessful films, the success of Parmanu is crucial for John Abraham. The film has to work as he has only one film in hand (to be directed by Milap Jhaveri) after Parmanu. John wants to take no risks. It has to work."

So now it is going to be a solo release for Anushka Sharma's supernatural horror Pari on March 2.
