Naga Shaurya is trying to keep up with his contemporaries and is excitedly awaiting the release of his romedy Chalo. The actor came up with the idea of floating a production house with this film.

“It’s really a good experience. My family and I are extremely happy to get into the production with Chalo. We will continue making films under our banner (IRA Creations) which was structured after Lord Indra’s vaahana Airavat,” he says.

Shaurya finds similarities between him and his character in Chalo. “It’s a role that is really close to my real self. Credit to my director Venky Kudumula for etching this character keeping me in mind.”  

The film is set in the backdrop of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and may appeal to audiences across languages too, says Shaurya, adding, “Honestly, we haven’t given it too much thought. But, the film has got good screen count in a few locations in Tamil Nadu.”

The actor says they have named this film after listening to the hook line of a song from a Ram Charan-starrer. “When we were brainstorming about the film’s title, I happened to listen to Ram Charan’s Le Chalo song from Bruce Lee. That stuck with me and after some discussions, we had zeroed in on this title.”

As for his next projects, Shaurya explains, “I’ve committed to working in a film each with debutants Sai Sreeram and Srinivas. The former's principal shoot will begin in February.”
