It looks like Muniratna Kurukshetra, one of the most awaited films of the year, finally has a release date. While the 2D version of the epic drama, directed by Naganna, was certified U/A, going by the latest developments, Darshan’s 50th film is slated for release in February.

A source says, “While the final trimming of 3D version is going on, the team is now getting ready for the mega audio launch on January 27.”

The audio rights of Muniratna Kurukshetra, which has music by V Harikrishna and lyrics by Nagendra Prasad, has been sold to Lahari Company at a record price.

Darshan, who wanted to make his 50th project a landmark film, chose the mythological drama. His last film was Tarak, which was released in September 2017.

With Darshan as Duryodhana, the film also stars the late Ambareesh as Bheeshma, Ravi Chandran as Krishna, Arjun Sarja as Karna, Nikhil Kumar as Abhimanyu, and Danish Akhtar Saifi as Bhima.
