Director Harish Shankar, who had last directed the Allu Arjun starrer, Duvvada Jagannadham, will reportedly direct the Telugu remake of Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda (2014) next.

While Varun Tej is said to have been roped in to play Bobby Simha's role and Rashmika Mandanna reprising Lakshmi Menon's role, the latest buzz is that the makers have approached Naga Shaurya and Raj Tarun to play Siddharth and Karunakaran's roles respectively. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard.

It must be noted that Jigarthanda was dubbed in Telugu and released as Chikkadu Dorakadu, years back.
