With Adangamaru all set to release on December 21 alongside Maari 2, Kanaa and Silukuvarpatti Singam, the film's cast and crew met the press on Saturday as part of their week-long promotions.
 
Raashi Khanna, who plays the female lead opposite Jayam Ravi, took to the stage and praised the way debutant director Karthik Thangavel has portrayed the women in the film. Munishkanth, who played a policeman in this year's runaway hit Ratsasan, said that the audience can breathe a sigh of relief as he won't be in the same serious mode in this film. 

Director Karthik Thangavel, talking about the evolution of his film, remarked that the first draft of Adangamaru was so violent that it wouldn't have passed the censors. He also thanked Jayam Ravi for advising him to tone down the violence to take it to a wider audience. 

Jayam Ravi, who finally took to the stage said, "I felt that Adangamaru is a film borne out of the necessity of the hour, and that is why I felt that it should be seen by a wider audience. While many have the gift of the gab to take to voice out their anger to societal issues, I have the gift of cinema to vent out mine. This is why I choose such subjects and I will continue doing so in the future."
