After working together in films such as Subash Chandra Bose and Gopala Gopala, actors Venkatesh and Shriya Saran are likely to reunite once again for Venky Mama. To be directed by KS Ravindra aka Bobby, the film is touted to be a comic caper featuring Venkatesh in the titular role. 

"Similar to their real-life relation, Venky and Chay will be seen as mama-alludu in the film, and Shriya plays the former's wife. The project will go on floors early next year," reveals a source.

Rakul Preet Singh, who earlier worked with Naga Chaitanya in Rarandoi Veduka Chudham, is playing the other female lead in the film to be produced by Suresh Babu, TG Vishwa Prasad and Kona Venkat. Venky Mama has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
