Director Vasanth's latest film, Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum, has been making the rounds in festival circuits to overwhelming critical acclaim. After being screened in the recently concluded MAMI film festival in Mumbai, the film is set to get a screening at the 23rd International Film Festival of Kerala.

Starring Parvathy, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, and Kaleeswari Srinivasan in the lead roles, the film is made up of three shorts about the plight of three women — Saraswathi, Devaki, and Sivaranjini.

Based on the short stories of writers Ashokamitran, Aadhavan and Jeyamohan, it also stars Karunakaran, Sundar and Marimuthu. With editing by National Award-winner Sreekar Prasad, the film received rave reviews from the audience at the Mumbai film festival.

This is Vasanth's first feature film since the 2013 film, Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal, another triptych of sorts starring Arjun, Charan, Vemal, Surveen Chawla and Muktha.
