Vishal's Irumbu Thirai hits a century

CE Features

Vishal's crime thriller, Irumbu Thirai, directed by debutant PS Mithran, recently completed hundred days of theatrical run. To celebrate the film's success, Vishal, who also produced the film, organised a success meet in the city yesterday, which also happened to be his birthday. Speaking at the event the actor said, "I got my first salary from the hands of Arjun sir as an assistant director long back while working in Vedham. Producing a successful film with him feels like a dream come true."

Arjun started his speech quipping, "I thought Samantha was my pair when PS Mithran said she was in the film. But when he finished the narration, it turned out to be something else." He went on to add, "Despite being a part of many blockbuster films, it's been a while since I had a film that ran for 100 days. I'm happy that I took up Irumbu Thirai, despite mine being a negative role.
